Echo Location Cassette Collage Artwork & design

I was commissioned to do the collage artwork and design for the project Echo Location, a new 14-track compilation of sonic landscapes, made in dialogue with field recordings from the Inner Hebrides, Scotland.

Seven musicians from across the world were sent a sample pack of field recordings made by Anton Spice on a small island in the Inner Hebrides, Scotland.

I worked on the full creative concept for this tape. I was sent a collection of photos taken by Anton Sprice & Ignacia Ossul Vermehren whilst they were on the Island, I used these to collage with to create the artwork that covered the tape and the cassette case as well as create digital versions of the artworks. I also did the design and typesetting.

Echo Location is part of Isles, a collaborative project between Ignacia Ossul Vermehren and Anton Spice documenting the details of texture and sound in remote environments.
