I developed and implimented a new part of the course to get students thinking about what a studio is! As part of this I commisioned a Cass alumni student Nicole Donaldson to create and identity for 'Cass studio culture' somthing that could be used throughout the year in both print and digitally
The students on the BA Graphic Design and Illustration courses went to visit over sixteen different design, illustration, branding and print studios.
Students will saw ornate studios, shared spaces, messy studios, organised studios, large spaces and small ones! The students engaged with the creatives within these studios as well as questioning the nature of the spaces and the creatives relationships within their studios. All of this research was then documented on a new blog as well instagram and twitter where students could post their own photos and thoughts about the visits and also the development of the studios through the year.
